The Hinoki Balsa Carbon blade features a classic 3ply + 2 carbon construction but replaces the Kiri core for Balsa. The Balsa core significantly reduces the weight and creates even more touch and feel. This blade can also be suitable for an allround game when paired with high control rubbers.
For more than 250 years, Japanese Hinoki has been referred to has the “King of Wood” and regarded as one of the best wood choices for table tennis blades due to it’s high touch and feel characteristics. Japanese Hinoki is becoming increasingly expensive and difficult to source so we are pleased to be able to offer this blade at a great price.

A custom made bat is a professional investment as the wood blade can last a lifetime and the rubbers can be replaced. A factory pre-made, packaged or plastic bat is assembled in a factory as one piece and is designed to be thrown away once the rubbers have worn. Plastic bats are fine for outdoor ping pong but not ideal for actual table tennis as they do not have the spin and feel of a wood blade with rubbers.
