New ITTF regulations now permit some other limited colours in addition to red. A black rubber still has to be on the other side. SpinLord Irbis is one of the first rubbers to offer this striking blue colour instead of standard red. This bat with blue rubber is perfectly legal and can be used for league play. The standard red rubber option is also available on request.

SpinLord Irbis is a fast offensive rubber from Spinlord with a strong built-in speed glue effect. Irbis combines a medium hard and tacky but not sticky rubber cover with a soft sponge (hardness approximately 38 degrees). Ideal for players who play for an impressive topspin from half-distance. SpinLord Irbis not only allows strokes with heavy spin, but also has the mistake forgiving nature. Great rubber and price for a glue effect rubber.

WHY CHOOSE A CUSTOM MADE BAT?
A custom made bat is a professional ITTF approved wooden blade fitted with ITTF approved rubbers. This is an investment as the wood blade can last a lifetime and the rubbers can be replaced. A factory pre-made, packaged or plastic bat is assembled in a factory as one piece and is designed to be thrown away once the rubbers have worn. Plastic bats are fine for outdoor ping pong but not ideal for actual table tennis as they do not have the spin and feel of a wood blade with rubbers.
