The classic 5 ply construction puts the emphasis on feel and control, whilst still allowing speed to be generated when needed. Japanese Hinoki is regarded as one of the best wood choices for table tennis blades and is becoming increasingly expensive and difficult to source.
Fitted with Gambler 7s rubbers for a balance of speed, spin and control.
Gambler 7s is an ITTF approved rubber featuring a grippy surface for optimum spin and control. Ideal for the beginning to intermediate player, coaches, clubs and schools. A high control rubber that is capable of generating high spin and reasonable speed.

Fantastic rubber for the price for beginner/intermediate players. Tackiness disappears after a few weeks, but the top sheet remains grippy after 3 months of playing every other day, unlike other rubbers I have tried including Palio, Friendship 729, DHS, Dawei and others. Soft sponge makes it easy to control and generate spin. I could lift underspin balls much easier than with harder rubbers. The rubber is quite slow by today’s standards, but it gives you confidence to hit harder and know your balls will land on the table. If you need more speed you can pair it with harder faster blades which I think would work well. I used it on a Custom Table Tennis Hinoki Carbon Blade and it is one of the best combination’s I have ever tried. Paul
